Chapter 1 Assessment

Platform: PDF Assessment
It is time to show off what you have learned about variables, the order of operations, and the distributive property. Yay!
The chapter assessments are basically graded homework. The problems are very similar to the homework problems and will give you an idea of your current skill level for the concepts you have learned in this chapter. You can always learn any skill better, and math skills are no different.
Gather Your Materials
Before beginning, gather the materials you will need and choose a suitable time and place to complete your test. Plan to spend about one hour working on it.
Materials:
- Reference Page: You may use your Chapter 1 reference page.
- Calculator: You may use a scientific calculator.
- Blank Paper: Use blank paper for written work.
- Pencils: Have two sharpened pencils ready to use.
Complete the Assessment
Complete the test independently. You may not use the solutions manual, online resources, AI tools, or help from another person unless your teacher has given you different instructions.
Show your reasoning clearly. Number your written work so that each calculation can be matched easily to the corresponding test problem.
Finish & Grade
Before You Finish
- Make sure you answered every question.
- Review your work for avoidable errors.
- Confirm that your name is on the test and all additional pages.
- Include all pages of your supporting work.
Nothing needs to be submitted through this self-paced course. Give your completed test and all supporting work to your parent or teacher to grade.
